THWS Business School and ISME Bangalore deepen strategic partnership

Fruitful research and doctoral cooperation, successful guest lecture integrations, international advisory council meetings and the design of internship pathways for THWS-Students in Bangalore strengthen ISME and THWS Business School partnership.

The International School of Management Excellence (ISME) included first time THWS Prof. Dr. Harald Bolsinger as international thesis evaluator in its fellowship program in management (FPM), a curated doctoral programme specializing in management disciplines. The high-quality international doctoral programme is AICTE-approved. AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education)  is the governmental statutory body for regulating and coordinating technical education in India. Prof. Dr. Bolsinger is founding member of the newly set-up THWS graduate school LiWa, that got the right to award doctorates in Germany by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts and has already served as an evaluator for doctoral thesis in the field of artificial intelligence and digitalization ethics.

In the actual semester an ISME student participated in Würzburg successfully in an applied startup-research project at THWS Business School developing an AI-powered financial copilot for SMEs with high potential under Prof. Dr. Bolsingers mentorship. Together with researchers of ISME and the Higher National School of Mines Rabat in Morocco research on applied worldview didactics with AI was started, exploring how artificial intelligence can support students in reflecting on spiritual dimensions of economic decision-making and personal purpose development. Prof. Dr. Chitra and Prof. Dr. Dhanabagiyam (both India) already provided Hindu perspectives and Prof. Dr. Ing. Benghabrit (Morocco) provided Muslim perspectives. For the coming months ISME will help with working out from first-hand the Buddhist perspective including voices directly from the Tibetian-Buddhist monastery in Kushalnagar near Bangalore, while Prof. Dr. Bolsinger will provide Humanistic & Christian perspectives and practical AI-tool setup. This emerging research line is planned to be integrated into existing international Master programmes and connects the existing work on spiritual capital and impact entrepreneurship with the possibilities of AI-enhanced learning environments, aiming to develop didactic concepts that help future leaders navigate global complexity with ethical orientation and intercultural sensitivity.

Marketingprofessor and ISME-research Lead Prof. Dr. Haritha enriched THWS Business School Teaching successfully with guest lecture insights about “Navigating Complexities of Indian Consumer Behaviour” and “Why Influencers Outperform Traditional Advertising”. By combining international guest lectures and interactive formats, the cooperation supports multicultural competence building and is planned to be continued in the coming semesters.

In a virtual advisory council meeting in Bangalore ISME Founder Director and Executive Board Member Dr. Nitin Garg outlined the global engagement of ISME, Dean Prof. Dr. Rony G. Kurien presented institutional updates, Director of Educational Partnerships Prof. Dr. Purnajit Chatterjee reported on current internationalization initiatives and presented a roadmap to further expand ISME’s academic partnerships, including with THWS Business School in Germany. Prof. Dr. Shampa Nandi addressed curriculum and industry alignment, showing how ISME’s practice-oriented programmes are continuously updated through close interaction with corporate partners and guest speakers, while Prof.  Dr. Haritha S presented current developments in research, innovation and institutional rankings. All members of the International Advisory Council shared and discussed strategic options for further international outreach. Prof. Dr. Bolsinger inspired with an overview of the European UNINOVIS-Project and encouraged to work on internationally integrated course programmes, that are linked to Indias industrial strengths.

Building on all this, ISME and THWS Business School are working on innovative internship options for THWS students at renowned companies in Bangalore, with internships mediated and academically supervised by ISME to ensure both practical exposure and structured competence development. This will also become an option for Managing Global Dynamics Masterstudents.

All ISME international partners of the council meeting concluded on jointly shaping further options for an international experience for learners and researchers in which academic excellence and practical relevance reinforce each other.
